Teach in Our Local Schools

Share experiences with Enthusiastic Students

Teaching is a great way to interact with children and share your skills and knowledge. Children here are very happy to have visitor teachers, it provides them with an invaluable insight into the outside world. Very few children here are computer literate and therefore through physical interaction with foreigners is the best learning experience for them.

Sports Coaching

Join a Team and Share Expertise

Sports is an amazing way to build relationships and make friends. At Winners we support several local sports teams as we realise the importance of sport in peoples lives, especially with children. Many teams lack coaches and therefore, we are always seeking volunteers to come and help out, whether it be coaching youngsters or youth you will be greatly appreciated.

Computer Training

Teach Valuable Computer Skills

Computer literacy in Kenya is extremely low when compared to the Western World. Most primary school children have never used a computer. Winners believe that computer literacy is a critical component in a childs education. Unfortunately, in public schools children do not have access to computers. We wish to have volunteers that can teach children the basics.

Teach Children To Read

Help us Set Up Our Library

Help us to organise our library and start a reading club for local children. With so many students in each class it can be difficult for children to get individual attention. That is why we feel the need to start a reading club where children can come to our library to practice reading in small groups or with a volunteer.

We value your time more than your money. That is why, unlike many other non-profit organisations, we don't charge outrageously high fees to volunteer with Winners Initiative. We do ask that you make a small contribution to your hosts to cover the costs of having you stay - around 5 USD per day.
