Children's Homes
Every Child Deserves to Have Fun
Children's homes in Kenya are under resourced meaning even food and water can sometimes be a struggle. Winners Initiative, believe children need to have fun and therefore we work with a number of children's homes organising fun events for the children.
Ball-to-All
Every Child Deserves a Ball
Winners Initiative are ambassadors of the Ball-to-All organisation. Ball-to-All was founded with a simple premise: keep kids playing – it will help them grow healthier, happier and at the same time, keep them out of trouble.
Sport
Every Team Deserves to Play
Through the Head Start Initiative Winners is supporting local youth sports teams. Through funding small income generating projects implemented and run by the members of the team to
Sanitation
Every Girl Deserves to Stay in School
Winners Initiative focuses on keeping girls in school by providing free reusable cloth pads. Along with the pads, Winners Initiative educate girls so they can properly manage their periods and stay in school throughout their menstrual cycle.
Single Mothers
Every Mother Deserves to Support her Children
Winners have a Head Start Project which provides support to single mothers that have small businesses. We provide small loans to help boost the business to make them more profitable.
HIV/Aids Support
Every Person Deserves to be Accepted
Winners support and educate people living with HIV/Aids. We provide both emotional support and help them consult doctors and get the right treatment. In addition, we hold community forums where we educate people to try and remove the stigma associated with HIV/Aids.
Library
Every Child Deserves to Read
Winners next initiative will be to build a local library so children can have access to a variety of books. We have a dream to start reading clubs with the local children to try and stimulate their interest in learning to read as an extra curricula activity outside of school.
Environmental Care
The Environment Deserves to Be Cared For
We believe that looking after the environment is paramount to building a better future. Therefore, we are working to educate people on topics such as waste management as well as organising tree planting events.
